Condemnation of Shahcheraq terrorist attack

Two civilians killed, several wounded.

On the evening of Sunday 13 August 2023, a terrorist entered the Holy Shrine of Shahcheraq in Shiraz and started a shooting spree. Regrettably, two Iranian citizens were killed and several others injured. This terrorist attack was strongly condemned by the EU and many European countries such as the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, the UK and France. The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Greece, while strongly condemning this terrorist attack, expresses sincere solidarity and deep condolences to the families of the victims and calls for stronger combat against extremists, takfiri and terrorist groups.
